On April 4th, our Sat 1’s unfortunately couldn’t raise enough players to fulfil a fixture. We had to forfeit the game. The Southern Amateur League has fined us for this, awarded 3 points to the opposition AND docked our Sat 2’s 3 points!!!!!

They say that we should have cancelled our 2’s game and moved players upwards into the 1’s.

We are appealing this on the grounds that an earlier league email had stated that at this stage of the season we were not allowed to cancel sat 2’s games without losing points and they are vying for top spot in the division. The sat 1’s game being in Bromley enough Sat 2’s players were declining to make the trip, so we would have ended up cancelling our sat 2 game and still not having enough players to fulfil the sat fixture!

We are hoping the league will take a common sense point of view and reverse their decision.
