It’s a great honour to be involved on the club committee again this season and I am hugely grateful to be elected as the new football club chairman.
I welcome the returning/new committee members/managers and all of the players that are returning for what is going to be a massively exciting season for us all.
So ultimately, what do I mean by ‘a massively exciting season’?
We are focusing on growth and success as a club. Results, overall last season, were not as strong as we would have liked and so we are going to put some focus on improving this in a number of ways.
Playing enjoyment is key, of course, but ultimately people want success as well. So we will focus on trying to deliver more on pitch success in a number of ways, including:
- working with the leagues on appropriate levels
- recruitment of new players and
- training for our current players.
The committee has a busy year ahead, working to improve our offering as a club with regard to playing enjoyment and the quality of pitches and facilities that we offer. In general we will focus on the social aspect along with this to drive the engagement and experience for our members.
We have a number of proposals we are working on to improve things and will communicate in due course.
For now, please get down to training, enjoy a drink afterwards and encourage friends that don’t currently play to come along to training and trials. This is a fantastic club and now is our turn to capitalize and grow.
