So not only fun and games with our Leatherhead managers but we had similar issues in our vets league.

Newly appointed managers of our Strollers Vets team in Div 1, Chris Jackson and Richard Mavin, suddenly realised that they had inherited far fewer players then was viable to run a side. Our total vets numbers was large enough for two teams but there was concern about pushing Div 5 players into Div 1.

Our discussions with the league were not particularly productive, with an early offer being withdrawn. So we were faced with the dilemma of leaving the league, folding the team or playing in division 1. And this was one week before the start of the season.

Last seasons Amblers managers Nico Cortes and Alex Buckley agreed to manage the Strollers side in Div 1 taking a large part of the very successful Amblers squad that they had built up, with them. Shaun Chambers and Stef Milewczyk were asked to manage the remainder of the players in Div 5.

Once again let us offer all our support to the two management teams who could be faced with tough seasons.
